Welcome to The Rooted Therapist MI

Hey there! My name is Kymberly, the heart and soul behind this cozy corner of the internet. This space is all about sharing what I learn, read, and experience as a therapist—and as a fellow human navigating life. I created this blog site because I genuinely care about helping people—whether you’re one of my clients or just someone stopping by. My hope is that whatever you’re going through, you’ll find something here that feels relatable or helpful. And hey, if there’s ever a topic you want me to dive into, let me know! This space is for you to.

While this site is primarily a blog and a hub of resources, you can also find a little bit about me as a therapist in case you’re curious about working together through the private practice I’m a part of - Sieradzki & Associates. But no pressure—this blog is meant to be a positive and healthy resource where you can feel supported.

Let me start by saying this: I love therapy. Not just being a therapist but going to therapy too. My own journey in therapy has shaped who I am today, and it’s why I’m so passionate about the work I do with clients. So, what do I write about? Honestly, anything that I think could help you understand yourself better, work through life’s challenges, or just feel a little less alone. My expertise lies in areas like Family of Origin Trauma, Nurturing Healthy Relationships, and the Emotional Impact of Women’s Health Issues (hello, fellow warriors with endometriosis and interstitial cystitis—I see you!). I also provide Christian-Based Therapy for those who want to bring their faith into the healing process.

I’ve seen the results firsthand. The clients I work with don’t just talk about change—they live it. And yes, I’m one of those therapists who assigns homework because growth doesn’t stop when the session ends! I expect my clients to do the work, and believe me, when they do, the transformations are real. I’ll be honest, therapy isn’t always easy (homework included!), but the growth? Totally worth it!

Now, let’s get into some fun facts about me! When I’m not with clients or buried in a new psychology book (I can’t get enough), you’ll probably find me hiking around West Michigan with my dog. I’m one of those people who hikes year-round, rain or shine, and I swear it’s my favorite form of self-care. I’m obsessed with Mackinac Island—if you haven’t been, put it on your list! And yes, I’m that person who orders a black coffee with two Stevia or an iced sweetened matcha tea - hold the latte, depending on the day.

Fall is hands-down my favorite season. There’s something about the cool air, the changing leaves, and the coziness of it all that makes me feel grounded. Spring comes in a close second because who doesn’t love the feeling of fresh starts and everything blooming?

But I’m not just someone who loves hiking and coffee. I live an active, healthy lifestyle because I believe in practicing what I preach. I know firsthand what it’s like to live with chronic health issues, and I bring that empathy into my work with clients. I know how isolating and overwhelming it can feel, and I’m here to help others navigate those experiences with compassion and care. I see you, and I’m with you.

As you explore this blog site, I hope you find practical insights, maybe a new way of thinking about things, or even just a bit of encouragement on the tougher days. My goal is to create a space where you can feel seen, heard, and understood. You’re not alone in whatever you’re facing, and if any of the words on these pages can offer you a bit of peace or clarity, then I’m doing what I set out to do. I’m all about giving you real tools you can use, whether it’s to improve your relationships, take care of your mental health, or just get through a tough day. I believe in doing the work—because that’s where the magic happens. My clients who dive in and do the homework see real results, and it’s incredible to witness their growth.

So, grab your coffee (or tea!), take a deep breath, and explore. I’m so glad you’re here, and I hope you find something that speaks to your heart and mind. Let’s keep growing, healing, and learning together.

Warmly,
Kymberly
